Morning Ride from Pete's

With Atlantis Biking Club - Demonstration Group

Sun, Jan 07 • 11:30 PM - Mon, Jan 08 • 2:30 AM

The course is 61.9 km (38.5 mi) and is a loop-style ride. The ride leader will have cue sheets available for new riders, though we don't let the group separate.

The route has gentle rolling hills and ideal for riders who can maintain a 12-15 mph pace.  Since we keep the group together, if this speed is too slow or fast for your liking, please choose a different ride.

The half-way point is the Atlantis scenic lookout, which has picnic tables, restroom facilities and potable water. We stop here on all rides for 15 minutes. There are no concessions or vending machines available, so pack any food/snacks you may want for this stop.

The direction we start out is dependent on the wind direction. We generally try to start out with a headwind so that we have a tailwind for the ride back.

No sag support is provided on this ride.

Venue

Pete's Cafe

321 Trident Road, Atlantis

Our pal Pete has generously allowed us to park in his large lot behind the cafe while we ride. Please park on the side farthest from his cafe to allow his customers the closest parking spots.  Be sure to get a placard to place on your dashboard from the ride leader. Cars parked without our group placard will be towed!

If you plan to hang out at the cafe before or after the ride, please let us know in the comments.

If you plan to purchase food to carry on your bike, please do so before the start time of the ride.

We also use the back room at Pete's for our member and board meetings. We have arranged to have wait staff available during all meetings, so please help thank Pete for his generosity by supporting this fine establishment during our meetings.
