🌳 Our Environment

We are all aware of the talk and dialogue happening around us about the Environment & Climate Change. Quite often many feel that as individuals whatever we do may not make much of a difference. But, as a collective, as communities and as groups of people together, small individual actions amount to big results. The Ezumee Community are real communities of people like you and together we can make a difference. Stop and think, our planet is our home and supports life. If our planet dies, we die. Our planet is sick. It can heal and restore itself but we need to make changes and reduce our personal impact. One by One, we can make a difference.

Ezumee Groups will work towards creating more environmental events and inviting others to create events that can help us find and make the changes in our life that make a difference. Especially as a collective of people and communities together. Check your Group Calendar for upcoming events.

Non political, non confrontational, empowering change through education & reasoning.

🌳 Tips / Small Things make a Big Difference

• Here are some tips on small things we can all do to help reduce our personal impact on our precious environment.
• When doing your daily searches online, by changing your search engine over to Ecosia you reduce CO2 by up to 1 kg per search.
• Replace Incandescent & halogen light bulbs with LED versions. Can reduce power for lighting up to 87%. Saves you money too.
• In the shower. By cutting shower time by 2-5 minutes shorter, reduces energy used to heat water, reducing climate impact.
• Heating. By reducing your thermostat by 1-3 degrees you can reduce power use by 3-9%.
• Cooling. By increasing your thermostat by 1-3 degrees you can reduce power use by 3-9%.
• Car: Short trips? By walking, taking a bike or using public transit, you make reduce large amounts of CO2 each year.
• Chemical products. Household products you purchase, from detergents to shampoos and other items all use water. Every litre of water used for a chemical product is a litre of water that is removed from our environment and destroyed as being water. How much water is removed daily? Billions of litres or more?. Balance is needed. We all need to use something for cleaning & other purposes. Try to find eco friendly products and reduce the amounts you use on a daily basis, keeping in mind, every litre of these products you are using has also removed a litre of precious water from our environment. Even worse, when you use these products they also damage even more water.
